$60 Hotel room, notice the curtain with just a wall behind it, but it looks like a window!
Then I moved to a cheaper hostel, this one is $30
Well at least the window is real!
But its ok because I didn't spend much time here as Josiah sent me a map places I should visit which are pictured below, first the Avenue of the Stars, Sadly I know very few Asian Stars only ones I knew where, Jackie Chan, Jet Lee and Chun Yow Fat
Oh and of course Bruce Lee
View of Hong Kong from Avenue of the stars
Next I headed to Victoria Peak overlooking Hong Kong, unfortunetely clouds where coming in so I couldn't get many good shots
Then Josiah sent me to the Foreigners area so I could get some food and a beer, unfortunetly as much as I looked there were no chinese restaurants here, only pizza, french, mexican and italian so i passed on the food, but grabbed a Carlsberg
Stopping for a Carlsberg
Next took a ferry back to the area where my hostel is and there was a Symphony of Lights happening at the Avenue of the Stars, so I took this picture there. There were also a group of about 7 Americans with American flags singing God Bless America and the Stars Spangaled Banner(I assume because it is the 4th)...I did not join them, but did join the people from Hong Kong giving them strange looks
Pirates taking over the bay
not my fault you can't speak/read chinese or else i'd have shown you some good food places to eat :)
ReplyDeleteThe camera is pretty good, can't wait till you get some real good pictures in China...
ReplyDeletehey I managed to do alright getting food, just have to find places that i can point to things...harder than taiwan though because there i am pretty sure anywhere i go things will be cheap, so i can just point...here i have to at least figure out how much it is going to be.
